Leading the way.
Impacting our communities.
Founded in Mountain Home. Growing statewide.
Honoring academic and athletic excellence.
The Taylor LEAD Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was started by siblings Greg, Gary, and Angela Taylor during the 2015 MHHS Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner. Gary & Angela were being honored as inductees into the 1st MHHS Athletic Hall of Fame class and announced the scholarship during their acceptance speech as a way to honor their parents, Charles & Alice, who were in attendance at the event.
The Alice & Charles Taylor Scholar-Athlete LEAD Scholarship began by honoring Mountain Home High School student-athletes who exemplify the traits that Alice & Charles exhibited—and Mountain Home will remain an annual part of our scholarship program. Beginning in 2026, we will expand statewide over a three-year rollout to serve scholar-athletes across all six Idaho districts.

Who We Are
Alice & Charles Taylor’s philanthropic efforts in the Mountain Home community date back to 1970 when they were stationed at Mountain Home AFB. Over the years, as they raised their three (3) children to be upstanding members of the community who worked hard in the classroom and in all of their extracurricular activities. That learning journey was the inspiration for launching The Taylor LEAD Foundation and creating The Alice & Charles Taylor Scholar-Athlete LEAD Scholarship.
Who We’ve Recognized
Annually, this award will recognize at least two (2) Mountain Home High School senior scholar-athletes (at least one female & one male recipient) who exemplify the traits that Alice & Charles exhibited.
